The beautiful historic church of St Patrick's Lilydale was built in 1871 to serve the growing Catholic population of the Yarra Valley region. Set amid lush, expansive grounds, St Patrick's is above all a spiritual oasis serving the local Catholic community. New-comers are most welcome to join us!
My name is Fr Francis Denton. I am a priest of the Archdiocese of Melbourne, ordained in 2015. Since my appointment as Parish Administrator in April 2020 it's been my pleasure to serve the parishes of Lilydale and Healesville.
My highest aspiration as a pastor is to lead souls to a deeper knowledge and love of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The parish of St Patrick's is a community of deep faith rooted in a love of the Eucharist. With the assistance of the parish pastoral worker, Debbie Edwards, and parish secretary, Sharon Jacob, we are here to help serve you in whatever way we can.

Pastoral programmes
RCIA
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. A friendly and supportive programme that assists those who wish to enquire about the beliefs of the Catholic faith.
The course for 2021 begins in August and will continue through to Easter 2022.
RCIC
This programme is available for primary to secondary aged children attending Government Schools who wish to be prepared for the reception of the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.
It is comprised of a compulsory six-week introductory course, "Foundations in Faith", which offers an overview of the Catholic faith prior to the commencement of the preparation for the individual sacraments. The Foundations in Faith begins in February.
Groups
Rosary
There is recitation of the Rosary after 9.15 a.m. Mass on Wednesday, during Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
Italian Prayer Group
Meets on Tuesday in the church following 9:15 a.m. Mass for recitation of Rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet in Italian, during exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
First Friday Adoration and Benediction
Every First Friday of the month, following 9:15 a.m. Mass there is exposition of the Blessed Sacrament concluding with the Rite of Benediction at 10:30 a.m.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available during exposition.
